Use 400 grams of cherry tomatoes, which can be small tomatoes like Queen tomatoes or yellow and red ones.
Put sugar in water in a pot on the fire and bring it to a boil.
Once the sugar starts boiling, add the cherry tomatoes and cook for about 10 minutes.
Cover the pot with a lid and remove it from the fire, letting it sit for at least 12 hours.
After 12 hours, the tomatoes should be cool; place the pot in a safe spot where it won't be disturbed.
The next morning, put the pot back on the fire and boil the tomatoes for 5 minutes.
Cover the pot again with the lid and wait another 12 hours.
After 12 hours, put the pot back on the fire; don't worry if it boils again.
Once cooled, after about 5 hours, remove the tomatoes from the pot and place them in a plastic container to cool down for about 10 minutes.
After cooling, place the tomatoes on a baking sheet lined with baking paper and let them dry a little.
The drying time depends on the humidity of the environment; then, transfer them to a jar for storage.
