Add about 1/2 to 1 teaspoon of curry powder and sauté for another minute to minute and a half.

Add 2 cups of pre-washed rice to the pan and toast for a couple of minutes, ensuring the rice is coated with the mixture.

Zest the whole lime, avoiding the white part, for later use.

Add 3 cups of water to the pan after toasting the rice.

Stir the mixture and bring it to a boil, then reduce to medium-low heat and cover the pan.

Set a timer for 15 minutes and let it cook.

After 15 minutes, turn off the heat and let it sit for another 15 minutes.

Fluff the rice with a fork after resting.
