Apple Peanut Butter Sandwich

Almond butter is lower in saturated fat and sunflower seed butter is nut-free.

Trim the ends of the apples so they sit flat.

Slice the apples into three equal-sized rings.

Optionally, remove the seeds from the apple rings if serving to young children.

Spread a layer of peanut butter on the first apple slice.

Add a layer of chopped pistachios on top of the peanut butter.

Place the second apple slice on top and spread peanut butter on it.

Top the second slice with raisins.

Add the final apple slice on top and spread peanut butter on it.

Top with more chopped pistachios and raisins.

Optionally, refrigerate for 30 minutes to firm up the peanut butter.
