Olive oil reduces saturated fat while adding flavor.

Almond milk is lower in calories, while water keeps it simple.
Measure 2 cups flour in a large mixing bowl.
Add sugar, salt, and yeast to the flour and stir to combine.
Add 2 cups warm water and stir until combined, resembling pancake batter.
Let the mixture rest for 10 minutes.
Add 1/2 cup vegetable oil and stir just to incorporate.
Add 3 cups all-purpose flour and stir with a spoon, then use your hands if needed.
Turn the dough out onto a clean work surface.
Knead the dough until smooth, flouring your work surface if the dough is too sticky.
Continue kneading until you have a soft dough; if kneading too slowly or stopping, the dough may stick to the work surface.
Gently poke the dough; if it springs back, you're finished kneading.
Lightly oil a bowl and return the dough to it, coating the dough with oil.
Pat down the dough slightly, cover with plastic wrap and a towel, and leave it to rise until doubled, about 1 hour.
