Peel the corn by removing the husk and silk, ensuring to take off the little stem.
Boil water in a pot and add the corn, making sure to save the corn husks to use as a lid.
Add salt and sugar to the boiling water for flavor.
Submerge the corn completely in the water and cover it with the corn husks to trap steam and flavor.
Boil the corn for 30 minutes, then check and cook for a total of 1 hour.
While the corn is boiling, crush the Hot Cheetos using a hand blender for a desired texture.
Grate the cheese into small pieces using a grater.
Prepare toppings including melted butter, mayonnaise, and crushed Hot Cheetos.
After the corn has boiled, remove it from the pot and let it cool slightly before handling.
Insert a stick into the center of each corn cob for easy handling.
Spread mayonnaise generously over the corn, which helps toppings stick.
For the original corn, sprinkle cheese over the mayonnaise-covered corn.
For the Hot Cheetos corn, cover the mayonnaise with crushed Hot Cheetos, rolling it to ensure it's well coated.
Drizzle melted butter over the Hot Cheetos corn and finish with a squeeze of lime.
