Ingredients
- ●8 oz elbow macaroni
- ●2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- ●1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- ●3 cups milk
- ●1/4 cup butter
- ●1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- ●1/2 tsp salt
- ●1/4 tsp black pepper
- ●1/4 tsp paprika
- ●1/4 tsp garlic powder
Instructions
- 1Cook the elbow macaroni according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- 2In a large saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.
- 3Whisk in the flour and cook for about 1 minute, stirring constantly to form a roux.
- 4Gradually whisk in the milk, continuing to stir until the mixture thickens and bubbles.
- 5Reduce heat to low and stir in the cheddar cheese and Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth.
- 6Add salt, black pepper, paprika, and garlic powder to the cheese sauce, stirring to combine.
- 7Combine the cooked macaroni with the cheese sauce, mixing well to coat the pasta evenly.
- 8Transfer the mac and cheese to a greased baking dish if baking, or serve directly from the pot if not.
- 9(Optional) For a baked version, preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake for 20 minutes until bubbly and golden on top.
- 10Serve hot and enjoy your creamy mac & cheese!

- ●1 tsp vanilla extract
- ●1 tsp baking powder
- ●1/2 tsp salt
- ●1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
- ●1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
Instructions
- 1Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- 2In a large mixing bowl, combine the grated carrots, melted butter, and sugar. Mix well.
- 3Add the eggs and vanilla extract to the carrot mixture and stir until fully combined.
- 4In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
- 5Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- 6Pour the batter into a greased pie dish or a 9-inch round cake pan.
- 7Smooth the top with a spatula and tap the pan gently on the counter to remove air bubbles.
- 8Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- 9Remove from the oven and let cool for 10 minutes before slicing.
- 10Serve warm or at room temperature, optionally with whipped cream or ice cream.
