Fill a stockpot with water to a little over halfway and season generously with sea salt.
Heat the water on high heat until it comes to a boil.
Rinse 1 pound of fresh green beans under cold running water.
Once the water is boiling, add the green beans and cook for exactly 2 minutes.
After 2 minutes, remove the green beans from the stockpot and transfer them to a large bowl filled with iced water to stop the cooking process.
After a couple of minutes in the ice water, drain the green beans in a strainer and shake off excess water.
Spin the green beans dry in a salad spinner or pat them dry with a dishcloth or paper towels.
Trim off the ends of each green bean.
Chop 5 cloves of garlic roughly and finely chop a small handful of fresh parsley.
Heat a large fry pan over medium to medium-high heat (about a 7 on a scale of 0 to 10).
Add 2 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil to the hot pan.
Add the green beans to the pan and mix to coat them in the olive oil, stirring every 30 seconds.
After about 3 to 4 minutes, when the green beans are lightly sautéed and starting to blister, add the chopped garlic and mix continuously to prevent the garlic from browning too quickly.
After 30 to 45 seconds, when the garlic is fragrant, add half a tablespoon of sherry vinegar and 2 tablespoons of chopped parsley.
Season everything with sea salt and freshly cracked black pepper, then mix well.
Remove the pan from heat and transfer the green beans to a serving dish.
