Mexican Street Corn off the Cob

Cultural Context

Originating from the streets of Mexico, Elote is traditionally grilled corn on the cob slathered in mayonnaise, cheese, and spices. The off-the-cob version, known as Esquites, is a popular street snack enjoyed for its vibrant flavors and textures. Today, this dish has gained popularity beyond Mexico, often found at food festivals and summer barbecues around the world, celebrating the sweet, juicy corn of the season.
