Rinse the soaked broad beans and add them in a large pot with enough fresh water to cover them.

Add a bit of salt and bring to a boil. Skim any foam it might float. Cook for about 1 ½ to 2 hours or about 25 to 30 minutes with a pressure cooker, until the broad beans are really soft.

In another large pot, heat the oil and fry the onion along with the garlic until golden, then add the chilies and fry for another minute.
