How to cook OEUF EN COCOTTE? Baked egg in a pot: a simple, quick and tasty egg recipe [EFC 16]

- ●4 large eggs
- ●1/2 cup heavy cream
- ●1/4 cup grated cheese (Gruyère or Parmesan)
- ●2 tbsp butter
- ●Salt to taste
- ●Pepper to taste

Instructions
- 1Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- 2Grease four ramekins with butter.
- 3In each ramekin, pour in a tablespoon of heavy cream.
- 4Crack an egg into each ramekin on top of the cream.
- 5Sprinkle grated cheese over the eggs.
- 6Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- 7Place the ramekins in a baking dish and fill the dish with hot water until it reaches halfway up the sides of the ramekins.
- 8Bake in the preheated oven for about 15-20 minutes, or until the egg whites are set but the yolks are still runny.
- 9Remove the ramekins from the water bath and let them cool slightly.
- 10Garnish with fresh herbs before serving.
