Put the bowl in the refrigerator for about 1 hour to allow the berberechos to expel sand.
After an hour, add a little salt to the water and stir gently to dissolve it, then refrigerate for another hour.
Prepare the garlic and parsley by chopping them together to create a mixture.
Remove the berberechos from the refrigerator and use a slotted spoon to take them out, placing them on a plate.
Heat a skillet over medium heat, setting it to about 5 out of 9.
Once the skillet is hot, add the berberechos and wait for them to start opening.
As they begin to open, adjust the heat to 7.5 to speed up the process, then lower it back to 5 or 6.
Add salt to taste, and if desired, add some pepper.
Add the garlic and parsley mixture to the skillet, distributing it evenly.
Drizzle in some high-quality olive oil, which the creator mentions they buy online.
Cover the skillet and let it cook for about 5 minutes.
After 2.5 minutes, stir the mixture to combine the juices from the berberechos with the oil, garlic, and parsley.
After 5 minutes, turn off the heat and transfer the berberechos to a serving dish.
Squeeze fresh lemon juice over the top before serving.
