Open the package of brie cheese and remove it from the packaging.
Open the can of crescent rolls and flour your surface.
Roll out the crescent dough, pinching together the perforated edges.
Use your hands to flatten the dough, or a rolling pin if preferred.
Cut the corners of the rolled-out dough to create a shape for the brie.
Cut decorative leaf shapes from the dough for the top.
Prepare the egg wash by cracking an egg into a bowl, removing any shell, and adding 1 tablespoon of water. Beat the mixture.
Coat the edges of the dough with the egg wash.
Place the brie cheese in the center of the dough and add the apricot jam on top.
Cover the brie with the top section of dough, pulling the sides up to seal it.
Transfer the wrapped brie to a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper.
Brush the top of the dough with the egg wash for a golden finish.
Add the decorative leaves on top and brush them with egg wash as well.
Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
Let the baked brie sit for about 30 minutes before serving.
Serve warm with crackers or fruit.
