Chop 1 onion finely and add it to the pan with cooking oil.
Add 2 cloves of garlic and 1 inch of ginger, finely chopped, to the pan.
Cook the onion, garlic, and ginger on low heat until they soften.
Add beef cut into 1 inch pieces to the pan and mix well.
Sprinkle in 1/2 teaspoon salt and stir until the beef changes color.
Remove 6-8 pieces of beef and set aside to cook separately.
Increase the heat and add black pepper, turmeric, and more salt to the pan.
Mix well and then add approximately 1/4 cup of cooking oil to the pan.
Add chopped tomatoes and mix everything together.
Increase the heat and cook for 1-2 minutes.
Add rice to the mixture and stir it in.
Add 1.5 cups of chicken stock to the pan with the rice.
Cover the pan and let it cook until the rice is done.
