Boil water in a pot.

Add the jalapeños and Serranos to the boiling water and blanch for about 4 minutes until they change color.

Remove the peppers from the boiling water and place them in a blender.

Add the canned tomatoes to the blender with the peppers and pulse until the peppers are broken up but the tomatoes maintain their integrity.

Pour the blended mixture into a bowl with the chopped cilantro and onion.

Add half a teaspoon of kosher salt to the mixture.

Mix all ingredients together until well combined.

Taste the salsa and adjust salt if necessary.
