Mise en place

Cut the bacon slices into thirds. You can stack the bacon slices and cut them all at one time. Cut the hotdogs into thirds as well. Line the hotdogs up against each other, about 5 deep, and cut into thirds.

3

Wrap the hot dog piece with a bacon piece, and secure it with a toothpick.

4

Plop it into the slow cooker.

5

Do this with about 1/3 of the way, and then put a third of the box of brown sugar on top.

6

Continue making dogs and covering for another third, and finally, the last third should be a layer of the rest of the brown sugar.

7

The last third should be the rest of the brown sugar.

8

Cover the slow cooker and set it on high.

9

Check it about an hour later. The sugar and bacon should be melting.

10

Cook on high for about 6 hours, or until the bacon is cooked.

11

It's done when all the sugar has melted and the dogs are dark brown. Unplug the pot for guests about half an hour before serving.
