Soak 1 pound of pinto beans overnight in water, ensuring they are submerged.
Drain and rinse the beans, removing any debris or broken beans.
Place the beans in a pot with 5 quarts of water and bring to a gentle boil.
Cover the pot and gently boil the beans for one hour without adding salt.
In a skillet, cook 12 ounces of thick-cut hickory smoked bacon until crispy, rendering the fat.
Remove most of the bacon grease from the pan but keep it for later use.
Add 12 ounces of all beef hot dogs to the skillet and sauté with the bacon.
Add chopped onion, garlic, jalapeno, and roma tomatoes to the skillet and sauté until heated through.
Stir in 1 Knorr tomato flavored chicken bouillon cube and mix well.
Combine the sautéed ingredients with the boiled beans in the pot.
Simmer uncovered for another 45 minutes until the beans are tender, stirring occasionally.
Taste and add salt to preference, approximately 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon.
