10 ml oil
1 onion
10 shallots
25 gms garlic
25 gms ginger
100 gms chayote

Soak the green peas in water for 6 hours.

In a pressure cooker, cook the soaked green peas in 250 ml of water for 15 minutes.

Heat a pan and pour in 10 ml of oil.

Add the pieces of one onion and sauté until translucent.

Add 10 shallots and sauté.

Add 25 gms of garlic and 25 gms of ginger and sauté until fragrant.

Add 100 gms of cut chayote and mix well.

Season with salt to taste, a spoon of spice mixture, and a spoon of chili powder, and mix well.

Add the cooked green peas mixture and mix.

Add 200 ml of water and mix well.

Cook for a further 12 minutes.

After cooking, add 1 cup of washed and soaked rice and cook for a further 5 minutes.

Take off the flame and serve.
