500 g pork bones
1 kg sour beets
100 g millet porridge
2 bay leaves
1 tablespoon ground red pepper (sweet or not spicy)
5 cloves garlic
1 large onion
2 tablespoons lard (residue when baking ribs)

First try the turnip - if it seems too sour, wash it with water.

Then throw the pork bones into a large bowl and cover with sour beets, peppercorns, bay leaf and three peeled cloves of garlic. Drizzle with water to cover all ingredients, and cook for 45 minutes.

After half an hour of slow boiling, add the millet porridge, mix and bring to a slow boil.

Meanwhile, prepare the broth until light brown, add the onion, and fry it until dark brown, sprinkle with ground red pepper, pour in 2 dl of cold water, stir and bring to a boil.

Mix everything together with the turnip. Add two finely chopped cloves of garlic and two tablespoons of fat (the residue when baking ribs), salt and pepper to taste and let it cook slowly for another 15 minutes.
