In a bowl, mix 4 cups of masa, 1/2 cup of all-purpose flour, 1 1/2 teaspoons of baking powder, and 1 teaspoon of salt.

Hydrate the masa with warm water and knead for 5 minutes until smooth.

Cover the dough with a damp kitchen towel.

To make chorizo, mix 1 pound of ground pork with 1 tablespoon of water, 2 tablespoons of white vinegar, and spices.

Heat oil in a pan over medium-high heat and add 3 small diced potatoes, seasoning with garlic salt and black pepper, cooking for 5 minutes.

Add 1 roma tomato, 1 jalapeno, and 1/4 onion to the potatoes and cook for another 5 minutes.

Add the chorizo to the potato mixture and cook for 3-5 minutes until fully cooked.

Shape the masa into small balls and flatten them using a cut Ziploc bag and a flat object.

Cook the flattened masa in a preheated pan for 2 minutes per side, then pinch the edges to shape into a bowl.

Top the sope with refried beans, the potato and chorizo mixture, lettuce, tomatoes, and salsa verde.
