Start by preparing 3/4 of a chicken, using all parts.
Roast half a head of garlic and 1/4 of an onion.
Place the chicken in a pot and cover it with enough water.
Bring the water to a boil, then add the roasted garlic, onion, salt to taste, and the spices (bay leaves, peppercorns, and oregano).
Once the chicken is cooked, remove it from the pot and strain the broth to keep it clean.
Chop the tomato and sweet pepper (or bell pepper) finely.
Sauté the chopped onion until it's well-fried.
Add the chopped tomato to the sautéed onion and mix well.
Pour in the reserved chicken broth and let it boil for 2-3 minutes to combine the flavors.
Add the lime juice at the last moment and let it infuse for 2-3 minutes, then remove the lime to prevent bitterness.
Serve the soup by placing tostadas in the bowl, followed by the hot broth, shredded chicken, and garnish with lime slices.
