Ingredients

  • 1 block (14 oz) firm tofu, pressed and cubed
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1/2 cup unsalted roasted peanuts
  • 1 bell pepper, diced
  • 1/2 cup green onions, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 inch ginger, minced
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tbsp hoisin sauce
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp cornstarch
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp salt

Instructions

  1. 1Press the tofu to remove excess moisture, then cut it into cubes.
  2. 2In a bowl, mix soy sauce, rice vinegar, hoisin sauce, sugar, cornstarch, red pepper flakes, black pepper, and salt to create the sauce.
  3. 3Heat vegetable oil in a large pan over medium heat. Add the cubed tofu and cook until golden brown on all sides, about 8-10 minutes.
  4. 4Remove the tofu from the pan and set aside.
  5. 5In the same pan, add garlic, ginger, and bell pepper. Stir-fry for about 2-3 minutes until fragrant and slightly softened.
  6. 6Add the cooked tofu back to the pan along with the sauce. Stir well to coat everything evenly.
  7. 7Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
  8. 8Add the roasted peanuts and green onions, stirring to combine.
  9. 9Serve hot over rice or noodles.

Ingredients

  • 1 block silken tofu (about 14 oz)
  • 1/4 cup sweet chili sauce
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1 green onion, finely chopped
  • 1 tsp sesame seeds (optional)

Instructions

  1. 1Carefully remove the silken tofu from its packaging and drain any excess liquid.
  2. 2Place the tofu on a serving plate and cut it into cubes or slices as desired.
  3. 3In a small bowl, mix together the sweet chili sauce, soy sauce, and sesame oil until well combined.
  4. 4Drizzle the sauce mixture over the tofu evenly.
  5. 5Sprinkle the chopped green onion on top of the tofu for garnish.
  6. 6If desired, sprinkle sesame seeds over the dish for added texture and flavor.
  7. 7Serve immediately or chill in the refrigerator for 15-30 minutes before serving for a colder dish.
