7 g instant yeast
1 tsp sugar
80 ml milk (luke-warm)
25 ml butter (melted)
100 ml light beer
1 tsp salt
1 egg yolk
2 tbsp water
some pretzel salt

Add the yeast and sugar to the milk and let sit for 10 minutes.

In a large bowl, mix the flour with the salt, butter, and beer. Then add the milk with the yeast.

Knead until a smooth dough is created, then cover and let rest for about 20 to 30 minutes.

Divide the dough into two portions of equal size. Roll out each portion to a circle of about 30 cm (12 inch) diameter.

Divide each circle into 8 triangular slices. Roll each triangle from the wider side to the pointed end. Shape into a crescent and place onto a baking sheet.

Preheat the oven to 180°C / 350°F or convection oven: 160°C / 320°F.

Let rest for 15 minutes.

Mix the egg yolk with 2 tablespoons of water, then brush the crescents with this egg wash.

Sprinkle the pretzel salt on top and bake for about 15 minutes.
