Ready in minutes, these donuts are healthy, perfect bite-size snacks for the whole family or a big crowd. #easydonutrecipe #minidonuts #noyeastdonuts #nofry RECIPE 1 cup cake flour (substitute :1 cup all-purpose flour reduced by 2 Tbsp) 1/3 cup granulated white sugar 1 tsp baking powder ¼ tsp salt 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg ½ tsp cinnamon ½ Tbsp Vanilla extract 1/3 cup buttermilk 1 egg slightly beaten 1 tbsp melted and cooled butter Instructions: -Begin by Preheating your oven to 350 degrees, Prepare the mini donut pans by lightly greasing them with cooking spray or with a dab of butter -In a large mixing bowl, combine 1 cup sifted cake flour or 1 cup all-purpose flour, 1/3 cup granulated white sugar, 1 tsp double acting baking powder, ¼ tsp salt, 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg, and 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon. -In a separate bowl combine 1 slightly beaten egg, 1/3 cup buttermilk, 1 tbsp melted butter and ½ Tbsp vanilla extract. Gently stir the wet ingredients until well combined. -Next, Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients. Mix well, stirring gently, but do not overmix. The batter as you notice will be slightly thick. -Get ready with your greased mini donut pans and using a spoon, proceed with filling the donut cups by spreading the batter around the center post of the donut cup towards the edges of the cup. Fill the donut cups halfway through, do not overfill. -Bake the mini donuts at 350 degrees for 7-8 minutes or until the top of the donuts spring back when touched. -Remove the pans from the oven and cool the mini donuts in the pan for at least 3 minutes. Afterwards, Remove the donuts from the pan, easing them out with the help of a small spatula and transfer the donuts into a plate. In the meantime, using a shallow plate, melt 4 tbsp butter in the microwave , to properly melt the butter run the microwave at 5 seconds interval. Toppings: cinnamon sugar topping - In a shallow plate, combine 1/4 cup granulated sugar and ½ tsp ground cinnamon. Quickly Dip the donut in the melted butter and then dip it in the cinnamon sugar mixture to coat the donut. powdered sugar topping - Place 1/4 cup confectioner's sugar in shallow plate. Dip the donut in the confectioner's sugar making sure it is evenly coated. You can also quickly dip the donut in the melted butter before dipping it in the confectioner's sugar. *If your sugar intake is restricted, you can substitute the granulated and confectioner's sugar with plant-based sugar replacement chocolate glaze - To make instant chocolate glaze, the easiest way is to melt some chocolate candy with a tablespoon of melted butter or with a tablespoon of milk in the microwave. Run the microwave in 5 second intervals to properly melt the chocolate. - Once the chocolate is melted to a smooth consistency stir quickly, then dip the mini donut in the melted chocolate to coat.
