So those will stay out next time. I'm on Facebook! http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100002460294574 1 lb. hamburger or ground turkey 1 round onion, chopped 1 bell pepper, chopped 2 stalks celery, chopped 1 can tomato sauce plus one can water 1 bay leaf, optional 1/2 c. ketchup 1 sm pkg. elbow macaroni 1 pkg. (8 oz) mild cheddar cheese Salt and pepper to taste Tomatoes, diced (optional) -- I liked it, my family did not like this addition. Brown hamburger/turkey, onion, bell pepper and celery. Add tomato sauce, can of water, spices and ketchup. Simmer on low for 30 minutes. Boil macaroni, rinse and set aside until sauce has simmered. Pour macaroni into 9x13 pan and added hamburger sauce and stir. Add the cheese and gently fold into mixture, keeping some to sprinkle on top. Bake at 350 degrees Fahrenheit uncovered for 45 minutes.
