Cooking Vegetables and Sago in the traditional Clay Pot over an open fire is a typical traditional cooking style of many parts of Papua New Guinea. And surely the foods cooked in this local style it does have its own unique flavor. And as well, for many Papua New Guineans, it saves a lot of time when comes washing the clay pot as there is not much dirt, unlike the modern saucepan. By the way, just for information, the Clay Pot here is made by my women folks from home with the Clays also fund on my Island.
