Kiymali Pide is a Turkish flatbread with meat and vegetables, one of the most popular hot appetizers in Turkey. Flat cake with crispy edges, filled with the aroma of veggies and baked meat mince with spices, pide with meat always comes out very tasty. It is perfect for a bite or serving to a dinner or supper table with your family. ❤️ If you like the recipe and want to say thanks, you can buy us a coffee - http://buymeacoffee.com/alwaysyummy ✅ Ingredients: • beef mince – 10 oz /300 g • tomatoes – 5 oz /150 g • red bell pepper – 3 oz /100 g • bulb onion – 3 oz /100 g • 1 jalapeno • garlic – 2 cloves • 1 egg • butter – 1 oz /20 g • vegetable oil – 6 tbsp • wheat flour – 13 oz /380 g • dry yeast – 1½ tsp • sugar – 1 tsp • warm water – 1 cup /250 ml • ground black pepper - ⅓ tsp • salt – 2 tsp ✅ You will need: • oven • baking tray 46*42 cm • parchment paper • carving board • bowl 📙 Preparation: 1. Into a deep bowl add the sugar, yeast and warm water, stir and leave for 20 minutes for rising of yeast foam. 2. Then add the vegetable oil, flour, 1 tsp of salt into the bowl, knead the soft dough. Lay the dough into the bowl or stockpot, cover with a food film and place to a warm place for 1 h 30 min to rise. 3. Add the tomatoes, chopped and with the cores removed, finely chopped bulb onion, bell pepper and jalapeno, minced garlic, vegetable oil, salt and ground black pepper into the beef mince and combine well. 4. Flour an even working surface and knead the prepared dough a bit, divide into 8 equal parts. 5. Roll each part of the dough into an oval about 12 in /30 cm length and 6 in /15 cm width, the flat cake should be 3-4 mm thick. 6. Lay out the prepared mince onto the cake with 1/3 in /1 cm indent from edges. 7. Wrap the edges onto the stuffing and seal the tips so that to have a boat shape. Lay out the formed boats onto a parchment lined baking tray. 8. Beat an egg with 1 tbsp of vegetable oil. Brush the flat cakes’ edges and stuffing with the egg mixture. 9. Place the tray into the oven preheated to 390°F /200°C and bake the flat cakes for 15 minutes until golden crust. 10. Brush the baked flat cakes with butter. 11. Serve your kiymali pides hot.
