Ingredients

  • 2 cups glutinous rice flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup red bean paste (anko)
  • 1/4 cup cornstarch (for dusting)

Instructions

  1. 1In a mixing bowl, combine glutinous rice flour, sugar, and cinnamon.
  2. 2Gradually add water to the dry ingredients, mixing until a smooth batter forms.
  3. 3Transfer the mixture to a heatproof dish and steam for about 20 minutes until cooked through.
  4. 4Once cooked, let it cool slightly before kneading the dough until smooth.
  5. 5Divide the dough into small portions and flatten each piece into a circle.
  6. 6Place a small amount of red bean paste in the center of each circle and fold the dough over to seal.
  7. 7Dust the finished pieces with cornstarch to prevent sticking.
  8. 8Serve at room temperature or chilled.
