Video Description
👉 Full recipe here: https://leescooking.com/moist-cherry-cake/ This moist cherry cake is light, not too sweet, and made with tinned or jarred cherries. It’s an old-fashioned recipe I found in a bundle of handwritten recipes, and it’s quickly become a favourite. The texture is soft and airy, and it actually gets better after a day or two — perfect for afternoon tea or a make-ahead dessert. In this video, I use pitted morello cherries from a jar, but tinned black cherries work just as well. I also show you how to make a quick cherry syrup using the drained liquid — it’s the perfect finishing touch alongside softly whipped cream. 📌 Simple ingredients, lovely results: • 1 jar or 2 tins of cherries • Butter, sugar, eggs • Self-raising flour, nutmeg, vanilla • Milk, flaked almonds (optional) • Egg whites, icing sugar, and cream to serve If you have fresh strawberries on hand, you might also enjoy this Hazelnut Torte — a gorgeous dessert made with meringue layers, Nutella, strawberries, and whipped cream: https://leescooking.com/hazelnut-torte-gluten-free/ Thank you for being here — I hope you give this simple yet delicious cake a try! @leescooking Relevant Hashtags: #cherrycake #easydessertrecipe #oldfashionedcooking #tinnedcherries #bakingrecipe
