Have a wonderful day! https://www.thefarmstandkitchen.com/our-shop BOILED SALAD DRESSING-WEDGE SALAD 1 cup sugar 3 Tbsp all purpose flour 1 tsp salt 1 large egg, beaten 1 tsp yellow prepared mustard 1 cup milk or evaporated milk 1/2 cup white vinegar 1/2 cup water 1 Tbsp butter, optional LETS MAKE IT- In a saucepan, whisk together the sugar, flour and salt. Whisk in egg, mustard, milk, vinegar, and water. Boil and whisk till thickened. Add butter, if using and whisk till melted. ( optional). Let cool and transfer to a Mason jar with a lid. Keep refrigerated. Use as desired for lettuce salads. For a wedge salad, add a wedge of ice berg lettuce to a salad plate. Add dressing. Add toppings of your choice. Today we used: Fresh chopped garden tomatoes Chopped baked bacon Red onion Blue cheese crumbles NOTES: 1. I tested this recipe using the butter and not using the butter, didn’t see much difference in the final result…so I didn’t use it in the video. Optional…it’s up to you! 2. I did try it with Dijon mustard and it was really good. 3. I think different vinegars would be fun to play around with in this recipe. 4. I think this would be good in macaroni salad!
