Chef Frank reveals the 5 essential ingredients for classic New York style shrimp fried rice and shows you how to make it. Fried rice never tasted good. Frank's Favorite Fried Rice 8 Shrimp 16/20 deveined 4cup Long Grain White Rice 2 TBSP Thick soy sauce 1 TBSP Oyster sauce 3/4c. Diced Carrot 1/2 cup sliced Scallion 1TBSP minced Garlic 3/4c. Bean Sprouts 3/4c. Yellow Onion diced 1/3 cup snow peas 4TBSP Vegetable oil 2tsp. Sesame OIL 3 Eggs scramble 3 kafir lime leaves RECIPE 1. Heat 1TBSP vegetable oil. 2. Sautéed carrots about 45-60 sec, 3. Add onions and peppers, sauté another 60 seconds 4. Heat 1TBSP vegetable oil. 5. Sauté shrimp until done. Once cooled, set aside. 6. Deglazed pan with 1/4 cup water, heat until water evaporates. 7. Heat 2TBSP vegetable oil. 8. Add 1TBSP minced garlic. 9. Add rice. Heat thoroughly. 10. Add 2TBSP thick soy sauce. 11. Mix well 12. Add 1TBSP oyster sauce 13. Return carrot, onions, scallions, snow peas and eggs to rice. 14. Add 3 kafir lime leaves 15. Add 3/4 c. Bean sprouts 16.
