Video Description

Try this recipe to make your own Japanese Fruit Sando at home! 🍞🍊πŸ₯πŸ“ GET COOKIN': πŸ“4 slices Japanese milk bread (Shokupan) πŸ“1 cup heavy whipping cream πŸ“5 tsp sugar πŸ“fruits of choice (i.e. strawberries, kiwis, oranges, bananas) First, prepare your fruits by washing them and removing any cores or skin. After preparing your fruits of choice, set them on paper towels and pat to dry. To make the whipped cream, add 1 cup of heavy whipping cream to a medium bowl and whisk on low speed with an electric mixer. Once bubbly, begin adding your 5 teaspoons of sugar and start whisking at high speed until the cream is thick and creates β€œstiff peaks.” Put your fruit sando together by laying out your milk bread and removing the crusts. Spread a layer of your whipped cream, and then add your fruits. Keep in mind that the way you assemble the fruit will impact how it looks when you cut it! Add another layer of whipped cream, and then put your sandwich together and wrap it in parchment paper or saran wrap to help keep its shape. Mark your wrapper to remember how to cut it later. Refrigerate your sandos for at least 1 hour. Cut and serve!
