Ingredients

  • 500g minced meat (beef or chicken)
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp ginger paste
  • 1 tsp cumin powder
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • 1/2 tsp red chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp garam masala
  • Salt to taste
  • 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
  • 4 large flatbreads or naan
  • 1/2 cup yogurt
  • 1/2 cucumber, sliced
  • 1 tomato, sliced
  • 1/2 onion, sliced
  • Lemon wedges for serving

Instructions

  1. 1In a large bowl, combine minced meat, chopped onion, garlic, ginger paste, cumin powder, coriander powder, red chili powder, garam masala, salt, and chopped cilantro. Mix well until all ingredients are combined.
  2. 2Cover the mixture and let it marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes to enhance the flavors.
  3. 3Preheat your grill or pan over medium-high heat.
  4. 4Shape the marinated meat mixture into long kebabs, about the size of your flatbread.
  5. 5Grill the kebabs for about 10-15 minutes, turning occasionally, until they are cooked through and have a nice char.
  6. 6While the kebabs are cooking, prepare the flatbreads by warming them on a skillet or grill for a few seconds on each side.
  7. 7Once the kebabs are done, place them on the warmed flatbreads.
  8. 8Top the kebabs with yogurt, sliced cucumber, tomato, and onion.
  9. 9Roll the flatbreads tightly around the kebabs, securing them with a toothpick if necessary.
  10. 10Serve the kabab rolls with lemon wedges on the side.
