I used the dried soy pieces again; steak and pork this time. I love how easy they make it to add protein and a meaty texture to a dish. A delicious stew screams for a worthy companion, so I opted for the ultimate carbohydrate; vegan pommes puree. It's creamy, rich and delicious. I used the slow cooker setting on the Instant Pot to make the vegan steak & ale stew, but it can definitely be done on the stove, or even a campfire! The stew can be easily customised by using different vegan meats, and changing the beans and/or liquid.
