Indulge in this scrumptious dessert, perfect for any occasion. Easy to make, flaky pastry horns filled with fresh vanilla cream and served with strawberries. You'll LOVE how easy this recipe comes together! Enjoy! INGREDIENTS 1/2 package (1 roll ) of puff pastry Flour, for dusting Filling: 1 cup heavy cream, cold 1 tbsp instant vanilla custard powder Fresh berries, optional Icing sugar, for dusting Also needed 12 metal horn molds (see link bellow the recipe) Preheat the oven to 375 F Begin by unfolding your puff pastry dough on a lightly floured surface, then roll pastry out lengthwise to about 10-12 inches long. Using a pizza cutter, cut into about 3/4 inch wide strips. Wrap your strips of dough around the molds, starting at the pointy end and slightly overlapping the dough. Pinch the end in place. (Brush off the excess flour if needed to allow the dough to adhere to each other or dab dough strips with a little water.) Place them on a parchment paper lined baking sheet, one inch apart, with the end of the dough strip facing down. Bake them in the preheated oven for 15 minutes or until golden brown. Remove horns from oven and allow to cool for 10-15 minutes, before carefully removing molds. To make the filling: Place heavy cream into a mixing bowl; add the instant custard powder and beat until stiff peaks form. Fill a pastry bag with the whipped cream filling and pipe filling evenly into each horn. Refrigerate 30 minutes before serving. To serve dust with some icing sugar. Serve with berries if you like.
