Ingredients

  • ā—2 cups all-purpose flour
  • ā—1/4 cup semolina
  • ā—1/4 cup sugar
  • ā—1/2 tsp salt
  • ā—1/4 cup ghee or unsalted butter, melted
  • ā—1/4 cup milk
  • ā—1/2 tsp cardamom powder
  • ā—1/4 tsp baking powder
  • ā—1/4 cup sesame seeds (optional)

Instructions

  1. 1In a large mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, semolina, sugar, salt, cardamom powder, and baking powder.
  2. 2Add the melted ghee (or butter) to the dry ingredients and mix until crumbly.
  3. 3Gradually add the milk to the mixture, kneading until a smooth dough forms. If the dough is too sticky, add a little more flour.
  4. 4Cover the dough with a damp cloth and let it rest for about 30 minutes.
  5. 5After resting, divide the dough into small balls and roll each ball into a thin sheet (about 1/8 inch thick).
  6. 6Cut the rolled dough into diamond or square shapes using a sharp knife or pizza cutter.
  7. 7Preheat the air fryer to 350°F (175°C).
  8. 8Arrange the cut pieces in a single layer in the air fryer basket, making sure they do not overlap.
  9. 9Air fry for about 8-10 minutes or until they are golden brown, shaking the basket halfway through for even cooking.
  10. 10Once done, remove from the air fryer and let them cool completely before serving.
