Tteokbokki, a popular Korean street food comes in many variations. You’ll only need rice cakes, fish cakes, and green onions, but it's crucial to cook these ingredients in the right order and achieve a perfect balance of sweet, spicy, and savory flavors. Ingredients 300g rice cakes (tteokbokki rice cakes) 100g or 2 sheets fish cakes 1 stalk green onion 2 boiled eggs 1 tablespoons vegetable oil 1 tablespoon gochugaru (Korean chili flakes) 1 tablespoon gochujang, 1 tablespoon soy sauce 1 teaspoon paprika powder 1 tablespoon brown sugar 1 cup water Instructions. 1.Pour water to soak frozen tteokbokki rice cakes. Set it aside for 30 minutes. 2.Cut the white part of green onion into an inch- sized length. Thinly slice the green part of the green onion. Cut the fish cakes into triangle shapes. 3.Add oil to the pan and add the white part of green onion before the oil is heated. Stir fry in medium heat until fragrant and then pour water into the pan. Season it with soy sauce, brown sugar, gochugaru (Korean chili flakes), gochujang and paprika powder. 4.Bring the sauce to a boil and add the drained rice cakes and the boiled eggs.
