Ingredients: 1lb, 454g of Italian sausage choose your spice level. 2Tbl, 30ml of olive oil divided 1-1 1 medium onion sliced thin, about an 1/8-1/4 inch, 5-8cm 1 medium size red, yellow, and green bell pepper, around 100g each thin sliced 1/2tsp, 2g of kosher salt 1/4tsp, 1g of ground black pepper 1tsp, 1g of Italian seasoning 1/2c, 120ml of chicken broth, or white wine 2c, 411g of chopped tomatoes fresh or canned. 1-16oz, 454g box of fettuccine or pappardelle noodles cooked to al dente 1Tbl, 10g of cornstarch, 2Tbl 30ml of warm water to make a slurry 1/4c 28g of fresh grated parmesan cheese 1/4c, 2g of fresh sliced basil chopped parsley for garnish at serving. Directions: 1)In a large skillet on medium high heat, brown and crumble Italian sausage. Start your water boiling for your noodles now. Once the sausage is browned place in a bowl and set aside. 2) Add 1Tbl, 15ml of olive oil to the pan, along with the sliced onion, and cook till golden brown and softened (about 6-7 minutes), then add peppers, garlic, salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning stirring consistently to blend, and so the garlic doesn't burn, for about 3-4 minutes. 3) Add chicken broth or white wine, to deglaze the pan, then add tomatoes, oil, and sausage let simmer on low. 4) Start cooking the noodles, once they are started go ahead and mix the cornstarch and water to make your slurry, and stir it into the sauce, continue to simmer on low. 5) Once the noodles are to the begging stage of al dente, drain them and mix them in with the sauce, let simmer another 2-3 minutes. 6) Serve with bread, and a salad. But mostly enjoy the food, and your company.
