Hi Everyone, Welcome back to my channel!!! and in today's video, I will be showing you how to make cake Haitian style PLEASE MAKE SURE TO WATCH IN 1080P OR 720P !!! Please subscribe and give this video a thumbs up if you like the video and don’t forget to hit the bell for notifications Ingredients: 2 1/2 cups of unbleached cake flour 1 stick of unsalted butter 1 1/3 cup of white sugar 1 cup of evaporated milk 1 cap of Rum favoring 1 tsp of cinnamon powder 3 large eggs 3 egg yolks 1 1/3 cup of Crisco 1 tsp of nutmeg 1 tsp of lemon shavings 3 tsp of baking powder 1 tsp of salt 2 tsp of vanilla 1 tbsp of almond extract Directions: Step 1: Make sure you mix all of the dry ingredients for 2 minutes. Step 2: Break the eggs and make sure you whisk and be sure to add vanilla, nutmeg, cinnamon and the rum flavoring Step 3: Add the stick of the butter and the crisco to the dry ingredients and let it mix for 5 minutes Step 4: Add the milk to the egg mixture and poor it into the dry ingredients Step 5: Let it mix for 7 minutes and add the lime shavings Step 6: After mixing pour the cake batter to 9 inch cake pans before you do that make sure you add butter to the pan so the cake doesn’t stick and flour on top of the butter to prevent the cake from sticking to the pan. Shake the pan a bit to prevent air bubbles. Step 7: Preheat the oven to 350 degrees and let the cake bake for 30 minutes. After 30 minutes, stick a toothpick in to see if the cake comes out clean. After you let the cake cool for about an hour, make sure you shimmy the cake out and catch it with your hand. Step 8: After that add any icing or preserves of your choosing and Bon Apetit :)
