Whether you're looking for the perfect lemon pound cake, lemon velvet cake, or lemon chiffon cake recipe, this easy step-by-step guide will help you bake the best homemade lemon cake from scratch! 🍋✨ Ultimate Lemon Chiffon Layer Cake with Lemon Cream Cheese Frosting Recipe: Serves 8-10 people ✅Ingredients: ✅For the Lemon Chiffon Cake 100 grams caster sugar Zest of 1 large lemon 3 egg yolks 200 grams milk, room temperature 110 grams neutral tasting veg oil 2 teaspoons vanilla extract 100 grams sour cream, room temperature 200 grams all purpose flour or plain flour 1/2 teaspoon baking powder 1/4th teaspoon baking soda 1/2 teaspoon salt ✅For the Meringue: 3 egg whites, room temperature 100 grams caster sugar 1/4th teaspoon salt ✅For the Lemon Simple Syrup: 50 grams caster sugar 50 grams lemon juice ✅For the Lemon Cream Cheese Frosting: 100 grams caster sugar Zest of 1 large lemon 112 grams cream cheese, room temperature 350 grams whipping cream (at least 35% fat), chilled ✅To decorate: 220 grams whipping cream (at least 35% fat), chilled and whipped to stiff peaks lemon wedges as needed ✅Notes: 1. Preheat oven to 160 Celsius or 325 Fahrenheit. 2. Bake in 2 8" cake tins greased well and bottoms lined with parchment paper at 160 C / 325 F for 25-28 minutes or until a skewer / knife / toothpick inserted in the centre comes out clean. 3. Let the cakes cool in the tin for 20-25 minutes then invert onto a wire rack to cool completely 4. When making the lemon simple syrup, heat the mix ONLY until the sugar dissolves then turn off the heat and transfer to another bowl / container. 5.
